Hectare

The metric system’s “Hectare” is one of the few widely used land measurement units. The word ‘ha’ is used to describe it. Despite being the most common metric unit of land measurement, the hectare has grown in popularity. While both the acre and the hectare are commonly used to measure land around the world, the acre is a unit of area, whereas the hectare is a metric unit.

The most common geographies where it is used are Australia, Burma, Canada, the European Union, India, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The hectare is referred to as manzana in Argentina, bunder in the Netherlands, gong qing in China, and jerib in Iran.
